The
Grabber DeckMaster® hidden
deck fastening system is available at Tarheel Wood Treating
for homeowners who want a long lasting, beautiful deck to
enjoy.
For
safer, more durable, more beautiful and longer lasting decks,
use the proven DeckMaster hidden fastening system.
With the DeckMaster system, the deck board is securely double
screwed from underneath with the 22 1/2"
DeckMaster fastener creating a strong sturdy smooth deck
surface to walk on and enjoy.
When
using the Deckmaster Fastening System, all fasteners are
hidden beneath the deckboards. There is no surface penetration
of the deckboards or joists. No moisture can enter deckboards
or joists and cause nail or screw pop-ups or deck rot. No
stains or splinters form around fastener holes.
DeckMaster®
is a patented fastening system that eliminates the damage
to deck boards caused by other fastening systems. Screwing
or nailing through the top of the deck boards is not only
unsightly, but also allows the wood to crack, warp, split,
rot, stain, pop up and become a possible hazard to bare
feet.
Whether
you choose wood or a composite surface, your deck is a work
of art. Why would anyone choose to mar its surface with
materials that will surely cause decay? A deck is a beautiful
thing, one to be enjoyed and treasured.

Attaching deck
board with DeckMaster, the hidden deck fastening system.

DeckMaster fasteners make for
a smooth mar-free deck surface.

DeckMaster fasteners
helps to create beautiful decks.

Nails
or screws are driven through the tops of the deck boards
into the support joists. Moisture
enters along nail and screw holes.
Why
Conventional Decks Fail?
With conventional deck construction, nails are driven through
the heart of the deck boards into wood support joists.

As wood shrinks, nails loosen and pop up, which is not only
hazardous, but allows water to penetrate through the deck
boards and into the support joists causing wood rot. No
matter what kind of preservative you use, water seeps through
nail holes into the wood, creating wood rot.
DeckMaster Hidden Deck Bracket System protects the deck
surface by eliminating the primary cause of deck failure
- moisture penetration through exposed nail holes on the
top of the deck surface. Even screwing does not eliminate
the need to tighten the screws once the wood shrinks, and
does not eliminate deck rot.
Other
hidden fastening systems still penetrate the top of the
deck board allowing for water seepage and deck rot. They
also tend to work loose with the expansion and contraction
of the wood, causing squeaks and loose boards.
DeckMaster
holds the boards tight, and is the best in eliminating any
surface penetration.

Using
the DeckMaster bracket system eliminates unsightly nail
stains as shown above.
