TrapEase Composite Deck Screws

TrapEase Quality Features
- Eliminates the mushrooming effect caused by standard deck screws.
- Oversized top thread tops out most loose composite material during installation.
- Concave underside of the head traps any additional loose material, pushing it back into the hole while self-countersinking.
- Guaranteed corrosive resistant coating outperforms standard galvanized in salt air, salt spray and acid rain environments.
- Sharp piercing point cuts through composite material in the first rotation.

Fastening Practices
- Install 2 screws at every joist.
- Pre-drilling pilot holes when fastening the ends of boards can help to avoid splitting (within 1 1/2" of board end).
- Install screws no closer than 3/4" from edge of board.
- On harder composites, such as WeatherBest, pre-drilling may help achieve a more finished look.
Color Match Note:
It is important to refer to the composite lumber manufacturer's technical data to understand what color their lumber will fade to. Choose a fastener to match this faded color.
